Under the Story Analyses tab, you will find a list of stories that I have had the pleasure of experiencing through all different sorts of artistic mediums. These stories could originate from longer form mediums such as literature or screenplay and shorter ones such as music or visual art.
I will try to keep the stories I talk about here in line with the character and storyteller analyses from the respective tabs so that if you want to follow along with what I'm talking about it is easier to do so. I will give forewarning here that I will not hold back when it comes to spoilers because that would hinder my ability to discuss the characters in their totality.
The array of stories that I will include will first consist of stories that I have experienced in the recent past and then I will eventually open up the list to recommendations from you all. Below you will find a list of stories on my list to discuss:
- Cyberpunk: 2077 by CD Projekt RED
- Cyberpunk: Edgerunners by CD Projekt RED & Trigger Studios
- Vinland Saga Season 1 by Wit Studio
- Vinland Saga Season 2 by MAPPA
- The First Law Trilogy by Joe Abercrombie
- The Witcher Series by Andzej Sapkowski
- Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
- I Really Want to Stay at Your House by Hallie Coggins and Rosie Walton
- Various Albums by Kendrick Lamar
- Bladerunner: 2049 directed by Denis Villeneuve
- Bioshock by 2K Boston
- The Heart Part 1-5 by Kendrick Lamar
- PROM/KING by Saba
- Survivor's Guilt by Joey Bada$$
I will approach this list in no particular order and may do stories not listed here before others that appear on this list.
As for the structures of the individual posts, I will not be rating them or anything of that kind because of the subjective nature of the content. I will instead discuss the key components of each story and connect these things to characters that may appear within the story. I will be sure to do the individual character analyses before I do the story analysis so that there is context. These analyses will include but are not limited to the following:
- Emotional Impact
- Plot
- Themes
- Symbols
- Cultural Impact
- Messages/Morals
Generally speaking, each of the above components creates a story's themes and messages therefore, the analyses will likely flow towards those two things.
Thanks for being so interested in my work that you've read the first character analysis post. You might just be super early and there's nothing else to read here but we'll ignore that case. Have a great day and I can't wait to get your eyes on the next post you may find here.
